Clicking my pain, you are earning fame.
I am not earning fame, but asking all to have some shame.
You decorate me on the walls of the artistic galleries.
You come close and think deep, eyes get closer to weep.
I think you will surely come to help me sleep.
Eyes keep on changing but none really weep.
I tried coming and my eyes really wept.
But I am bounded by my fears & my comforts.
Because now I have forgotten that you and I are one.
So, how does it matter, if you are not my sister, friend or son?
But…
I am not asking you to become my father, just give me some protection.
I am not asking you to become my mother, just give me some care.
I am not asking you to become my brother, just give me some company.
I am not asking you for help, just give me some hope.
I click you, hoping that others if not I will come to you.
Because, I still hope that there are some humans around.
Don’t get me wrong, because I might not come to you but the path I am paving,
may lead many to you.
I am clicking life and I am writing life, as it is.
And by doing this, I am trying to do my bit.
(A conversation that took place at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, between an orphan on the road, a photographer clicking his pain, a writer inking his vain and all of them were within me and you)

India Partition League
Principle of Exclusion & IPL & Indian society
We are a 28-state rich country, with 7 union territories. There is cultural abundance and cultural diversity.Thers is diversity in pretty diverse things as well and many timesits hard to believe that we are states of the same nation.Language, population density, literacy, food, clothing, temperature, rainfall, flaura and fauna, income, spending power, wealth, crime, religion, sex ratio, rulingparty, infrastructure, health & wellness, etc. etc.
We have become and we are becoming more & more, a market driven economy. An economy where the only thing that matters is the buying power or how much money you have.
On this basis, there have always been segregations in the society-place you reside, schools your children attend, car you drive, food you eat, brands you wear, etc.
But 2-3 months before one more strata was formed in our society. The IPL team you cheer!!!
Yes.
A total of 8 teams were auctioned in the IPL by the BCCI:Bangalore, Chandigrah, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata & Mumbai. So its not about India any more. Its not about your state anymore. Its about your city now.
Cricket fans hailing from Indore, Pune, Lucknow, Patna(have u gone crazy), & Surat and from your citydont have their cities to cheer.
This segragation is a clear cut segmentation of the Indian market based on the city's buying power.Which includes:1. Buying power backed fans base2. Heart share based city following (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, etc)3. Billionaire power backed team buying capacity (Mukesh Ambani, Vijay Mallya)4. Iconic player backed city following (Sachin, Saurav, Dravid)5. Iconic buyer backed city following (SRK, Preitty)
Though its very complex how people will follow a particular team and developtheir loyalty towards it and city might be just one of the influencing factors.
But still, India has been partitioned into eight cricketing provinces. Now even if u feel left out, there is no option for you. Either support some team externally, ie. live in Sagar (M.P.) and support Mumbai becauseyour icon, Sachin leads the Indians. Or transform yourself to the higher earning Indian, living in an iconiccity and then adopt your loyalities to that city.
Rest all of us, the leftover India, can still watch IPL just for fun and our love for Cricket...
Welcome to the Indian Partition League!!!

Feminists a publicity tip to u
Females want equal status as men in everything. No issues, even i am in total support of this, except in a few things in which both men & womencant enjoy same status, as it was chosen by God while designing the two.
(Now, dont ask me whether God is Male or Female...)
i wud b talkin about our Indian society here.
Consider these situations:
1. standing female in a bus asking for a seat favour or reminding u the values
2. rushing female goes to the front of the queue
These are two typical scenarios that come to my mind mostly.
And i really dont like this kind of mindset, kisika bhi ho chaahey firr.
HELMETS???
In India, our country, one of our greatest strengths is our CAREFREE nature(it transforms to CARELESS nature most of the times)This can be the only reason, that most of us dont like wearing helmets.Road authorities die yelling and imposing fines & rules, but we dont mind.
Hows this Helmet related to female inequality???
Yaar...bikers in Delhi mostly adhere to the traffic rule of wearing Helmet(we wont discuss the helmet quality though)
But heres the googly:
1. Why female pillion riders are not asked to wear helmets?
2. More importantly, how come modern females, arent concerned of their own safety?? Why dont they wear helmets????????
Their safety is not a concern for our traffic authorities.I think same is the case with feminist organizations.
But about individual females, riding at the back of their superbiker boyfriends...??Is love enough to keep them safe???
(same also applies to our balle balle, Sardars...turban keeps them safe??? Here's a business opportunity though...as no helmet maker has yet an offering, suiting Sardarji's turban.)

Pink Turned into Red
Pink turned into RED
Terror came riding on cycles, driven by hatred and was blindfold.
It had nothing on its mind but blood on its hands & not in veins.
Peace was murdered while buying vegetables.
Friendship was lost in the market and didn’t come back to home.
For some, Wait became their only partner.
All they will eat now is Regret & Sorrow.

Ek Boond Aasha...Ek Boond Pyaar!!!!
Ek boond aasha...ek boond pyaar...
Door tak andhera...but mein nahi maanoga haar.

Kisi ka haanth chahiye tha...par kabhi maanga hi nahi...
Ek boond aasha...ek boond pyaar...
Bakar ke hain Raja...bakar ki hai darkaar...
IIT, IIM, etc etc etc...ne maan li mujh se haar...takraaye nahi ek baar...
Engineer bana aisa ki degree dikhane mein lagta hai darr...
MBA bhi kiya aisa....ki debit credit tak ki nahi khabar...
Ek boond aasha...ek boond pyaar....
Sapne hain apne..bade bade...Empires bana dein..pade pade...
Gyaan dedein sabko....lekin koi de nahi sakta humko...
Par ab thak gaya hoon...khud se yaar...
Kab tak chalega..yeh Ek boond aasha...Ek boond pyaar....
Kiss Din mein sapnon ko jee paaonga...
Kiss Raat mein andheron ko pee jaaonga...
Kiss Raah mein manzil mein samaaonga...
Kiss Subah mein naye din ko paaonga...
Kiss Saath mein khudko kho doonga...ya khud ko paa loonga...
Intezaar aur Intezaar...
Par Kab tak Aakhir...Aakhir kab tak...
Jab tak hai....
Ek Boond Aasha...Ek Boond Pyaar!!!!

Start something new...???
One of the earliest retail brands in the country...
High one brand recall and premium image...
OK as an overall brand...relative to global retailers.
There is always a need felt for change...CHANGE is unaviodable...as CEAT is saying...but right now leme tlk jus abt...Starting Something New.
BRAND REFRESHING...of the Shoppers Stop brand to be precise.
SS's ads have always given us a feel that we brown skinned humans still aspire to wear something worn by the fairer. Same was in this new campaign.
Which i must say is GUD.
Ever since i have seen the re-branding campaigns of SS on the TV n print, i was itching to go to my favorite chain in India. But somehow, the hide & seek prevailed..n prevailed...
But yesterday i managed to get that sneak into the New SS....
Now this was all, i got my hands on:
1. The Logo has been changed, which i saw in ads, etc b4 only.
2. And punchline now says, Start Something New...rather than Shopping and Beyond.
3. and...and....and...haan the new logo has been beautifully put on the store's carry away bags.
it really luked gud...
4. then i ran my "BRANDy eager" eyes all over the store...every corner..every section...every floor..but...once again....they proved cynics right...to be more accurate, Branding Cynics right..
because this was all that has been done...by saying Start Something New.
NOTHING, Yes Nothing else changed.
My take on SS is:

My take on SS is:
- Why do the branding & marketing brains get so myopic when thinking of refreshing a brand?
- Spending so much money just on a logo rework and a new punchline, makes how much sense?
- Many of the SS fans must have visited the stores after refreshal, and i think all of them must have felt cheated. So, where is the brand value of Honesty gone? Surely it takes a hit in my mind. STOP Cheating Indian consumers dude.
- Last but not the least. I think SS was not that old a brand needing a refreshal.
But you know, why all these things hardly make any difference either to SS (Indian marketers) or to us, beacuse there is hardly any competition still in organized retail, and more so in lifestyle retail.
So, literally WHO CARES?
I will still go to shop at SS more than anywhere else....and so wud most of u...
No options u c!!!!
