WHEN WE WILL WAKE UP????????????????

I was going home to attend my Didis marriage in Bhopal, chatting with a professional kinda businessman about his dairy business andother such things that are close to my entrepreneurial heart.

I didnt look at the watch, was unaware of the things happening anywhere. Was jus messaging to 58888, to keep up with the India'a mauling of the English team. India took a 5-0 lead, as i decided to sleep with thoughts of a 7-0 win in ODIs, followed by2-0 in the tests.

This is all, that was in my mind on the 26-Novemeber-2008 night in the Bhopal Express.

Reached home safely, which has become a luxury to all Indians now, amidst all the Shaadi chaos, dwelling in my house. My nephews as usual were shuffling between various cartoon channels when someone just changed the channel to a news channel.

And what?

The Taj Mahal Hotel of the great Gateway of India was in flames, with tickers telling me, that when i was asleep, there were many who lost everything they had, worse some would deal with the loss of life in thier lives to come.

The great Leopold's connection that i began while reading the Shantaram also took a beating.

And just then i realised about my brothers in Mumbai- Ghoda, Jhandi, Luckybhai, Anshul, Salak, Jassi, Kela and Ottey. I did what we all do at such times, though i was unable to accept this again, incidences like these, which have become our news diet, only this time it was worse than anybody could have ever imagined.

Everyone i knew was fine, as this is the only thing we are concerned with, right?

Then, Ghoda made me creep in my inner shell, when he told me that Gaurav Bala Jain, his friend, whom i have met several times before in Indore in our FRIENDS flat, is missing since last night, and he alongwith Jhandi, is going to the CST area to know about his presence or absence.

Hey Bhagwaan............
Everything stopped then and there.

Yaha ek ghar mein shaadi ki taiyyari chal rahi hai n har koi chilla raha hai...Pramil jaldi taiyyar ho jaao....humein 11 baje tak resort ke liye nikalna hai....ye ya woh....pata nahi kya kya....

aur kahi kisi ke ghar mein ghar jaisa kuch bacha hi nahi hoga...
sirf intezaar aur aansoon aur ek dard jiske khayal se hi pata nahi kaisa lagta hai....

kya hai yaar ye sab...kaise hai..kyoon hai....kyoon?
nahi pata yaar....
kya karna hai...
kuch nahi....

Shaadi mein chala gaya.....raaste mein Ghoda told me that they have found Gaurav's body...shitt mannn....and have informed his, around-60-year-old parents, that their only son is in ICU.
fuck mannnnn. fuck.

i wanted to run and run and run and run to death, that might have ended my pain.mein kya karoon yaar....mujhse aise nahi raha ja ra hai abhi.....

kitne logo ki life mein kuch bhi nahi bacha hai except pain and suffering and mein saala ofice mein baithke blog likh ra hoon....mein saala Oracle se SR pe update le ra hoon....
What the fuck yaar...what the fuck...

What can i do to stop all this?
I want to do something yaar or everything that i can do to stop all this.
But what?And how?
I dont know.

I dont even know whether i would be here to write my next blog or to call you next time or to answer my Mummys fone next time or to watch a movie with you next time.
Will then only i will do something?

And who knows i might not even get a chance to ask all this again if i die next time?

WHEN WOULD BE THE RIGHT TIME FOR US TO LEAVE OUR ROUTINE LIVES AND DO SOMETHING FOR THE GREATER WELL BEING????
WHEN???

First of all, We are not living in heaven. History has enough to show that these elements, we called evil, were always there, trying to destroy peace and normal course of life, for variety of reasons. Emotions are both good and bad. It depends on the intention and character of person that how he/she take it. Motivation was present in an equal amount in both Karkare and terreroist but Karkare was using it for a positive purpose. Question here is, How can we prevent that such motivated youths working for negative reasons? How can we prevent development of negative thoughts, feeling of insecurity in the minds of such highly energetic and talented youths. May be Mr. Advani should answer these questions.

Ambedkar was correct when he said to constituent assembly that whatever type of system we made, ultimately it's efficient running would depend on the person who would be running it.
Democracy is the one of the best system avaiable but it is an voluntry system. It never fixes responsibilities. Basic assumption in democracy is that the person who thought they are good and efficient should come forward and take the lead voluntrly. Are we, the so called intellectuals, doing our duties? Can we leave our plum offices, high pays and can go to the villages and work there. If not then what right we have to blame others.

There are many angles, Politics, buraucracy and We the people. Democracy just represent the popular will. We want corruption that's why it exists. How many times we produce fake medical bills, worng rent reciepts to save Income tax. How many time we offer bribe to traffic police man after breaking the rules, to TC in trains to give us seats and at many other places. Nothing is going to change until we the people will remove "Sab Chalta Hain" attitude.

"Be the change which you want to see in the World". If you really want to do someting then first look inside you and take a pledge that you will not participate in corruption, will not give up in temptations. How many of us go and exercise out right of vote. I remembered that in last UP assembly elections, in lucknow, one of the party started by some IITians, fielded one candidate. And he was defeated because Voter Turnout was only 30% in lucknow city. Atleast we should exercise our right of votes.

not everyone has the guts to clean the mess. few have to rise.those who can realize that the way they are going to live their life is a big FUCK.Its not worth living that way.
Cutting branches is not the solution. We need to work at the roots. Count me in Bro !

Some tough actions have to be taken uo by the people and the government. In fact the common man has to take the first step. The politicians will never ever be able to take a bold step.It is the common man who has to initiate and make our so called political leaders to do something concrete.

1. Why we always make this division. Politician and common man. Politicians also come out of common men. They also have same kind of fear, desires for money/prestige/power/authority as we all have. Only in aristocracy, we can make kings or leaders solely based on education or knowledge or competence (This is also not always true). In democracy leaders come from grass root level. They are one of us. We should never forget that as a common man or citizen we also have some fundamental duties defined in our constitution -

(a)
To abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem.

(b)
To cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for freedom.

(c)
To uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India.

(d)
To defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so.

(e)
To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women.

(f)
To value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture.

(g)
To protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wild life, and to have compassion for living creatures.

(h)
To develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.

(i)
To safeguard public property and to abjure violence.

(j)
To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavor and achievement.

How much law abiding citizens we Indians are?????. And how many duties we are really following?

2. There is a logical fallacy when we expect perfection from our current leaders.
Are we waiting for a Neo?
I am hearing from my childhood that Politics has not been made for good people (who will define good??). So we, so called good common man, better try our luck in easy going jobs or making our life, just ours, comfortable. And then we expect from our political class that they will deliver good. How wrong this view is. From whom we are expecting?

totally agree with your opinion, but being emotional and thinking all this stuff is everybody's cup of tea. When u came to know that someone whom u knew has succumbed to this trauma and destruction u must have gone to crumbles.N then the surge of emotions inside u propelled u to think all this and u started thinking about goin to mumbai to see the horrific reality that took shape some days ago,but does that solve the problem??? NO if we really wish to do something then we have to march ahead and fight our front in the political arena, the youth has to bear the brunt of leading a country that is indeed a heavenly place to live in but is wounded and crippled because of its worthless leaders. We first of all need to reach to a place where we are capable enough to do something meaningful for our country..n plzzz do not write this kinda stuff that "i dunno wheather i'd be here to answer mummy's phone next time"...plzzzzz
